Wednesday... Here is a prayer to pray each morning that is true.

Moses wrote this prayer. He said in Psalms 90:14 (NLT), "Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives."


Now we may think of other things to ask for that we believe will satisfy us but when they happen and they don't satisfy then we are in despair. But this is something that is true, that we can know, that we already have so our prayer is to be satisfied with it.

Yes, we do think of a lot of other stuff that we believe will make us happy, that will satisfy us, that will bring us joy but when we get it and we are still not satisfied then there is a problem. We get it but there is no continual joy. Oh there may be for a moment but it doesn't last.

So, "Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives." Now for many of us the answer to that prayer would be a real miracle. We need it to happen. We need to be satisfied. We need to sing joy to the end of our days.

Yes, in truth we need to pray, "satisfy me each morning". "Please, may I focus on what a difference, God, your unfailing love makes on my life" and then, "may I sing for joy and be glad today."

It is all in the focus, isn't it?

The NIRV says, "Satisfy us with your faithful love each morning. Then we can sing for joy and be glad for all our days." Yes, "for all our days."

Did you notice that being satisfied because we have focused on God's faithful love comes before the singing for joy? We focus too much on what we think will bring us joy, don't we?

The Amplified Bible says, "O satisfy us with Your lovingkindness in the morning [now before we grow older] that we may rejoice and be glad all our days."

So let's start today and see what happens. Yes God, "Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives." Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning

Tuesday... We just have trouble listening.

1 Corinthians 13:7 (NLT), "Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." Tuesday... We just have trouble listening. Over in Jeremiah 25:4 (NLT) it says, "Again and again the LORD has sent you his servants, the prophets, but you have not listened or even paid attention." And Jeremiah went on to tell what was going to happen. There will be consequences if we do not listen to what God says through his Word. Now the Apostle Paul over in 1 Corinthians was having a problem with some professed Christ followers who were having trouble at listening. And we too can have problems at listening. We can think that being a Christ follower means we do a lot of finger pointing and we give up on people who don't do what we say. We can even do that in our families. Friday... It is so exciting but wait a minute.

Proverbs 19:2 (NLT), "Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes." Friday... It is so exciting but wait a minute. This time of the year is so exciting. We get our paycheck from work and then we head to the store or Amazon and buy and buy and buy all those presents and then our check is gone Proverbs 19:2 (NLT) says, "Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes." But buying gifts can be so much fun and seeing how happy they are when opening those presents makes us feel so good. But then verse 3 says, "People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then they are angry at the Lord." Now for some that is their life. They get money and they spend it on their wants with no thought of what needs to be paid. An important lesson that we have learned is just because you have money in the bank doesn't mean you must spend it. But our enthusiasm takes over.
