Saturday... Oh how we need it. The Psalmist writes in Psalm 67:1 (NLT), "May God be merciful and bless us. May his face shine with favor on us." Yes we want this but he also wants us to have it. Over in Isaiah 7 God through Isaiah asked the King of Judah to do something. He wanted him to ask God for something, to test him, (vs. 12), "But the king refused. 'No,' he said, 'I will not test the Lord like that.'" We have our way of doing things. Verse 13 says, "Then Isaiah said, 'Listen well, you royal family of David! Isn't it enough to exhaust human patience? Must you exhaust the patience of God as well?'" God wants to give us mercy, he really want to bless us. Now here is something great.
