Sunday... Is it any wonder? David says in Psalm 21:7 (MSG), "Is it any wonder the king loves God? that he's sticking with the Best?" Now we too many times stay with the asking, with the needing and never get round to the wonder, the wonder of God and what He does for us. It is so easy to stay in the wants and never get around to the wonder. The writer of Psalm 100 verses 3-5 (Amp) writes, "We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving and HIs courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting, His faithfulness [endures] to all generations." If we only live in the down times, only focussing on our needs to God and never get around to the focussing of what He has done for us by our thanking Him, then we never get to the wonder of what He has done and even the wonder that He cares enough to do anything for us.
