Friday... Our city was built on this. Proverbs 16:33 (NLT) says, "We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall." I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and this city was built on gaming, throwing the dice. And a whole lot of people come to give it a try. There are hugh beautiful buildings built on the fact that most of them lose. The second part of this verse is also extremely important. It says, "but the Lord determines how they fall." Somehow we forget that God is a Sovereign God. That what happens in our lives is not totally on us but is on Him. We may throw the dice but He determines how they fall. Now in His plan He has given us a free will. His Sovereignty doesn't control our actions but the outcome goes through Him. You see, our relationship determines a whole lot on how He responds.
