Thursday... How can it be worth it? Maybe you are going through a difficult time and you can't see any good in it. David, the writer of Psalm 109 was going through some very difficult situations and he turned to God with the right attitude. He saw some potential good in it and he prayed this prayer. He saw how it could be worth going through it. In verse 21 (NIRV) he says, "But Lord and King, help me so that you bring honor to yourself. Because your love is so good, save me." And then in verses 26-27 he says, "Lord my God, help me. Save me because of your faithful love. Lord, let my enemies know that your have saved me. You have done it with your own hands." He then prays in verse 28, "They may curse me. But may you bless me. May those who attack me be put to shame. But may I be filled with joy." What a tremendous prayer to pray.
