Thursday... But is it a bad thing? Yes it can be but does it need to be? I found this word this morning in Psalm 2:3 (NLT). It says "'Let us break their chains,' they cry, 'and free ourselves from slavery to God.'" And the word is slavery. And it is in one sense a very bad word. We as a nation fought a war over this word. Churches have people meeting together that are there to free people from their slavery to addiction. There are people who are in marriages who need to be freed from the slavery of abuse. Many people are slaves to the memories of their past. Yes slavery can be very bad. But not in all ways. I am a slave to my wife, Margaret because I love her. I do not want to be freed from that slavery. We are a slave to the responsibility of our dog, Turner. We are going today to see our kids in Colorado and we are not just leaving our dog all alone.
