Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) says, "Do not despise these small things, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." Now that to me is an encouraging word to start this new day, this new week. Comparing is not really a good thing to do. If we compare ourself to something that is small we can puff up with pride or if we compare ourself to something that is greater then we can be discouraged. Comparing is not really a good thing but we do it, don't we? Please let me encourage you to not compare and don't despise these small things, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. Now that is one of the great benefits of reading the Bible everyday. It gives us a fresh and needed perspective in how God views each new day, how He views our life.
