Tuesday... It is useless, unless. In his time, Solomon was the wealthiest and the wisest man living. And in Psalm 127:1 (NLT) he writes, "Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good." He says "Unless the Lord, Unless the Lord." He goes on in verse 2 and says, "It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones." That last part of verse 2 the Amplified Bible says,,"For He gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep." It is useless for us to do anything unless the Lord is a part of it. We cannot make a life on our own, it is useless to try. Oh Solomon was the richest man in his time but God was the one who gave it to him and in Solomon's wisdom he realized that fact.
