Saturday... Such good advice. It really is. Peter in the last chapter of his first letter says in verse 5b (MSG), "But all of you, leaders and followers alike, are to be down to earth with each other." And verse 6 tells us why, "for - God has had it with the proud, but takes delight in just plain people." Have you ever been around someone, even worked for someone who is a know it all, who feels they are above you and everyone else? You probably won't go the extra mile for them. So it is very good advice to not be one of those people. Well, God has had it with people like that. The NLT says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." And Peter goes on in verses 6 & 7 and they are such important verses. Verse 7 has been one of my life verses.
