Tuesday... Here is another good one. I read at least three chapters in the Bible everyday. And my first one is always in Psalms and so many times my thought for the day comes from Psalms. It is usually where I get that word of encouragement. And today is no different. In Psalm 28:1 & 2 (NLT) David writes, "I pray to you, O Lord, my rock. Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die. Listen to my prayer for mercy as I cry out to you for help, as I lift my hands toward your holy sanctuary." Does that speak to you? "I pray to you, O Lord my rock." Some pray to a god who is a rock. The NIV says, "To you, Lord, I call; you are my Rock." I don't pray to a rock I pray to one who is my Rock. He goes on. The NLT says, "Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die." So true, so true. I won't because He is alive and He hears me and He speaks to me.
