Friday... And it is a good thing to be emotional. There is a word that is used in the Amplified Bible two times at the beginning of Psalm 103. And it is a good and appropriate word even for men. It is the word affectionately. Psalm 103:1-2 (AMP) says, "Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul, and all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget any of His benefits." We have a dog that wants to be involved when Margaret and I are affectionate with each other. As I was getting ready to leave this morning, Margaret was still in bed so I leaned over to give her a kiss and Turner jumped up on the bed and started giving both of us a kiss. Our faces were a mess. He wanted to be involved. It was great. And he wasn't ashamed. He went right at us. We loved it. And I'm pretty sure that God loves it when we are affectionate with Him.
