Thursday... Do you feel overwhelmed, really overwhelmed by your troubles? David felt that way in Psalm 55:1-2, "Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles." In verses 5-7 (NLT) he says, "My heart pounds in my chest. The terror of death assaults me. Fear and trembling overwhelm me, and I can't stop shaking." He had it bad. He continues, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! I would fly away to the quiet of the wilderness." It is so good to know that other people are feeling the way you feel, isn't it? I love the honesty of the Bible. Verses 16-18 says, "But I will call on God," You may not be able to fly away like a dove but you can call on God.
