Friday... How do you get even? Do you have a plan? Has it worked? Good questions but what about the answer? This is another area where God's answer is different than the ways of the world. Proverbs 20:22 (NIRV) says, "Don't say, 'I will get even with you for the wrong you did to me.' Wait for the Lord, and he will make things right." We spend so much time and emotion on something that God is better suited to do. The MESSAGE Paraphrase says, "Wait for God; he'll settle the score." He wants to handle it. Let Him. Here is another area that we spend so much time on. Verse 24 (NLT) says, "The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?"
