Monday... He understood and knew what to do. King David understood. Oh he was a king but he also had so much trouble and so many difficulties. We can relate to him in so many ways and that is why I love to read his Psalms in the OT. Look at how he starts Psalm 140. He says in verse 1 (MSG), "God, get me out of here, away from this evil; protect me from these vicious people" Now we could say that, couldn't we? Verse 2 says, "All they do is think up new ways to be bad; they spend their days plotting war games." And I like how he ends this Psalm. In verses 12-13 he says, "I know that you, God, are on the side of victims, that you care for the rights of the poor. And I know that the righteous personally thank you, that good people are secure in your presence." Maybe that is what you needed to hear today. Listen, if you are a victim, God is on your side.
