Thursday... It had its place. The law of the OT had its place. Yes it did. Galatians 3:19 (NLT) says, "It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins." And it did that. It really did that. But the Word continues, "But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised." Now back to verse 5, "... does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ." Now Christ was promised by God to come to this world and be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. And He came and He died as a sacrifice. Now in His coming the sin problem can be taken care for us through confessing our sin and asking for HIs forgiveness and in turn we are forgiven and we are justified to the point that it is just as if we had never sinned.
