Wednesday... It really can make a difference. Our hungering really does make a difference. Proverbs 27:7 (NLT) says, "A person who is full refuses honey, but even bitter food tastes sweet to the hungry." Let's say you are in a very good situation. No problems, no real difficulties, so you have no desire for a deeper relationship with God. You have it all handled. You're full, you're not hungry. You don't want anything it seems from God even though you need it. You don't feed on God's Word, you don't connect with God through prayer. you've got it handled. You're not hungering after a relationship with God that feeds you each day. And therein is a real problem.
