Psalm 17:3b (NLT), "I am determined not to sin in what I say." Wednesday... It is amazing the impact from what we say. And how we say it. Our words have so much power and David prayed this prayer that it seems would be a great prayer for each one of us to pray as we are getting ready to face each day. In Psalm 17 David starts in verse 1 (NLT) by praying, "O Lord, hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from honest lips." Again he says. "for it comes from honest lips." and that is so important. And then verse 3 says, "You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong."
