Wednesday... I love this. It was one of my firsts. I love Psalm 1, it was the first chapter in the Bible I memorized. And that was a big deal for me. Memory is not one of my strengths but it was worth the effort because it has stayed with me all of these years. Now I memorized it in the King James Version with it's walketh and sitteth. I now spend time in more than one version which opens up new visions of what it means. Look at this. Verses 1-2 in The Amplified Bible says, "Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night." Some would say, "I don't know how to meditate."
