Friday... I'm really on edge. There are a lot of reason for being on edge but the writer of Proverbs 28 gives some good thoughts about it. Proverbs 28:1 (MSG) says, "The wicked are edgy with guilt, ready to run off even when no one's after them; Honest people are relaxed and confident, bold as lions." It is better to be relaxed and confident, isn't it? Verse 6 (NLT) says, "Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and rich." If I'm dishonest I'm always looking around trying to see if anyone is looking at me. Being dishonest can put me on edge. Verse 9, "God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law." MSG, "God has no use for the prayers of the people who won't listen to him." Now that will put you on edge. I think it is a good thing to listen to Him, to not ignore His law.
