Wednesday... He gives us what we need. He really does! Yes, we are facing the unknown of another day and the unknown of another year. And as we look at ourselves, we know we need more than we can internally produce to face this new year. But we need to see that we are not alone and that we have survived these last two years because of what He has given us. He knows what He is doing and what He has for us to do. The Apostle Paul while in prison writes in his second letter to the young Timothy these words of encouragement. Again he is in prison and he knows what he is talking about. Here is what he says in chapter 1 verse 7 (NLT), "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline." Fear doesn't come from God, timidity doesn't come from God. No, He gives us "power, love and self-discipline." He gives us what we need to handle the unknowns of 2022. But this we do know.
