Today's Beginning

Monday... Why? Why? Here it is, another Monday, another new week. So, how is it starting, how is your week going? Some would say, Psalm 42:4a (NLT), "My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be." And then we ask, verse 5a, "Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad?" Maybe that is where you are. Verse 7 says, "I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and your surging tides sweep over me." And verses 9-10 says, "'O God my rock.' I cry, 'why have you forgotten me? Why must I wander around in grief, oppresses by my enemies? Their taunts break my bones. They scoff, '"Where is this God of yours?"'" Maybe that is where we are. Then, then 5b-6a says, "I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God!" The Message says, "Fix my eyes on God - soon I'll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face.
