Monday... There is so much to keep us awake. There really is. King David over in Psalm 3:1-2 (NLT) writes, "O Lord, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. So many are saying, 'God will not rescue him!'" It seems that David's son, Absalom was trying to kill him because he wanted to be king. And of course the Devil and his followers were reinforcing his deep anxiety by saying, "God will not rescue him!" And for so many of us that is being repeated when we are trying to go to sleep. Yes, there is so much that we face in the day in which we live that can keep us from going to sleep. Is that true of you? But David doesn't stop there. Verses 3-4 says, "But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain." And then he says in verse 5, "I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me." Verse 5...
