Monday... This is one of God's most valuable gifts. And we need it, we need it today. Proverbs 8:11 (NLT), tells us. "For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it." Solomon the writer of most of the Old Testament book of Proverbs goes on in verses 12-14. He shares what comes with wisdom. He writes, "I, Wisdom. live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment. All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Common sense and success belong to me." James over in the New Testament of the Bible writes in James 1:5, "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." Yes, it is a gift from God and it is a valuable gift that you can ask for. Yes, it is OK for you to ask for wisdom. But there are some requirements in being able to ask for it and to receive it.
