Wednesday... We really don't want to be repulsive, do we? We revel in God's love. We really do but we also need to see what he hates and what is repulsive to him. The writer of Proverbs 6 in verses 16-19 tells us some things that God hates and that are repulsive to him. I know what my wife loves but it is also important in our relationship for me to know what she doesn't like and the same for her with me. So this is also important for us to know in our relationship with God. So verses 16-19 (AMP) says this, "These six thing the Lord hates; Indeed seven are repulsive to Him: A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and discount others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that creates wicked plans, feet that run swiftly to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies [even half-truths], and one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers." The NLT says this last one this way, "a person who sows discord in a family....
