Tuesday... It makes a difference in whom we put our total confidence, yes it does. Psalm 146:3-4 (NLT), speaks to this. It says, "Don't put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help there. When they breathe their last they return to the earth and their plans die with them." But that is what we, even as Christians have been doing, isn't it? We turn first thing to CNN or Fox to hear what they have said. or what they have done. And put our total hope or despair on what they have said or done. But it seems we never open God's Word to see what He says or what He has done or what He will do. The New International Revised Version says, "Don't put your trust in human leaders. Don't trust in people who can't save you. When thy die, they return to the ground. On that day their plans come to nothing."
