Thursday... Sometimes, we do things that don't please God. This must have been one of those times for David as He wrote Psalm 6. In verse 1 (NLT) he says, "O Lord, don't rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage." And that can be a good honest prayer to pray and maybe that could be your prayer today. But if we are not there yet we need to stop and realize what could happen to us if God was really angry at us and our actions and what could happen if He would discipline us in His rage. Yes, He is a God of love, of grace but we better not take for granite that fact, especially if others are being hurt by us. His prayer goes on in verses 2 & 3, "Have compassion on me, Lord for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. I am sick at heart. How long, O Lord, until you restore me."
