Psalm 57:7 (NLT), "My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing praises." Friday... Yes we can be. Yes, there is injustice all around us. But we still can be confident. Psalm 57 was written by David while he was a hiding in a cave from King Saul who was wanting to kill him. But he still said in verse 7, "My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing praises." Now this confidence came because of his experience with God in other times. Yes, this was the David who as a very young man killed a lion and a bear trying to kill his sheep and also the giant, Goliath. He has seen God at work in times past and he can now also be confident. Earlier he said in verses 2 & 3, "I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. He will send help from heaven to rescue me, disgracing those who hound me."
