Thursday... Oh, could we just get back to normal? Then we would be happy. But maybe that isn't true. Maybe normal is not what will make us happy. Maybe God has something better than normal. But maybe our prayer should be what Psalm 85:6 (AMP) says, "Will You not revive us and bring new life again, that Your people may rejoice in You?" The NIRV says, "Won't you give us new life again? Then we'll be joyful because of what you have done." That is what we need, that is what God wants to give us and do for us. Yes, revive us, yes, give us a new perspective, a new attitude, a new adventure. Oh God, give us new life again. But I want to go back to normal but maybe that normal is not what God has in mind. And if that is true then there is no way we want to go back. Could it be that God has something great and wonderful ahead? The NLT says, "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" Maybe we have been dead and didn't know...
