They eat up people like bread and wouldn't think of praying to the Lord." Verse 2 (MSG) says, "God sticks his head out of heaven. He looks around. He's looking for someone not stupid - one man, even, God-expectant, just one God-ready woman." Proverbs 14:2 (NLT) says, "Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him. Verse 3 (AMP) "In the mouth of the [arrogant] fool [ who rejects God] is a rod for his back, but the lips of the wise [when they speak with godly wisdom] will protect them."
