Tuesday... It can now be so different.

Galatians 4:7 (NLT), "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir."

Tuesday... It can now be so different.

Now we who are reading this are probably not children even though life seems to treat us that way. It seems that we are slaves to life.

Galatians 4:1 (NLT) says, "Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had."

Paul the writer goes on. Verse 2 says, "They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set." And so many feel like they are still being treated as slaves no matter their age but in reality it can now be so different.

Verse 3 says, "And that's the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children, we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world." And some still feel that way but it now can be different because Christ came into the world. Yes, there were basic principles or laws that held us in place until Christ came.

Now, some still live as slaves instead of heirs because they haven't accepted the fact that they have the opportunity to be heirs.

Verse 4 says, "But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law." Verse 5, "God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children." And now it is so different. Verse 7 says, "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir."

Yes, it now is so different because God sent his Son to pay the price by his death and resurrection and now we can be heirs if we accept Him into our lives.

Verse 6 says, "And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting to call out, 'Abba, Father.'" And verse 7, "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir."

Now that is our choice. We can be a slave or an heir. God sending his Son has made all the difference. Yes, it is now so different if we accept the fact that we are can be God's children if we give our lives over to God.

Of course as children of God we do need to grow up. Yes, God has sent a guardian who is the Spirit of his Son and to whom we must surrender to and obey.

Again, "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir."

Such, such good news! Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
