Psalm 5:3 (NLT) "Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly."
Thursday... Yes, just keep at it.
So what is our problem today? We wake us each morning with different situations facing us and many of them are bigger than we can handle so having a plan is such a smart thing to have. I'm sure there are some mornings you just don't want to get up, so you need a plan. Well King David had one.
Psalm 5:3 (NLT) says, "Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." Yes, yes, that is such a great plan.
Now he starts this Psalm by saying, "O LORD, hear me as I pray." Now God won't hear you if you don't pray. Oh He has the ability to read our thoughts but that is not where the power comes in.
David goes on, "pay attention to my groaning." Verse 2, "Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you." And verse 3, "Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly."
Oh I guess you could go back to sleep but at some point you will wake up and the situation will still be there. So, yes, just keep at it and wait expectantly. I love that word, expectantly.
Verse 3 in the Amplified Bible says, "In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning O LORD, I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for you to speak to my heart." Yes, God always has a plan and He wants to lead you through whatever situation you are facing so just keep at it.
Verse 11 (NIRV) says, "But let all those who go to you for safety be glad. Let them always sing for joy. Spread your cover over them and keep them safe. Those who love you will be glad because of you." And here is what we can expect, verse 12, "Surely, Lord, you bless those who do what is right. Like a shield, your loving care keeps them safe." In the Amplified Bible it says, "For You, O LORD, bless the righteous man [the one who is in right standing with You]; You surround him with favor as with a shield." The NLT says, "you surround them with your shield of love."
Yes we can expect that to happen if we, each morning, bring our requests to the Lord. So just keep at it. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
