Tuesday... It can sometimes be so hard to see but it is there.
Here is what David writes in Psalm 36:10 (NLT), "Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts." Now, let's say that God does that but do we see it? For so many the answer is no. Yes, it may be hard to see but I want you to know and see that it is there. It really is.
Now the Devil and his crowd want us to not see it. But he is the greatest lier of all time. I mean, he believes that he is greater than God. But he isn't.
I am looking out at beautiful trees. There are so many different greens. Just saying they are green doesn't really describe it. That is God's love. The rain we had the last couple of days, cleaned our air. That is God's love. The sun that shines and the moon that comes out at night is God's love.
Verses 5-7 says, "Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings."
So many don't see that.
Now we can look at Jesus on a cross and see injustice and it was the greatest injustice that has ever happened. But we also can see unfailing love.
I love the thought that everything that happens to those who serve God must go through his love. The Devil throws all of this evil at us to discourage us, to harm us but it must go through God's love and he changes it's purpose from bad to good.
Yes, it can be so hard to see but it is there, God's unfailing love is there.
David also prays in verses 11-12 (AMP), "Do not let the foot of the proud [person] overtake me, and do not let the hand of the wicked drive me away. There those who [are perverse and] do evil have fallen; they have been thrust down and cannot rise." And verse 10 says, "O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness (salvation) to the unright in heart."
We do have a choice here. Yes, there is evil and yes there is unfailing love.
Verses 5-6 in The Message says, "God's love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, his purpose titanic, his verdict oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse slips through the cracks." Yes, his unfailing love is being poured out on those who love him. Believe it and see it so you can experience it! Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
