Psalm 63:7-8 (NLT), "Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely."
Thursday... Life has its complications and opportunities.
Yes it does but we don't need to go it alone. We really don't.
I love how David puts it in Psalm 63:7-8 (NLT), "Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely."
David tells us in verse 1 who he is talking about. He says, "O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land." And I love how he puts it in verse 8, "I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely."
Yes, life has its complications and opportunities but we don't need to go it alone.
Over in Jeremiah 33 the prophet writes in verses 1-3, "While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the LORD gave him this second message: 'This is what the LORD says - the LORD who made heaven and earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the LORD: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come." Isn't; that great? And David says, "I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely." That is a smart thing to do, isn't it?
Even at my age I want to know about things to come and I too cling to God's strong right hand which holds me securely. I love that verse, "I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely."
Now I also read today in 2 Corinthians 4:1 (AMP), "Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as we received mercy [from God, granting us salvation, opportunities, and blessings], we do not get discouraged nor lose our motivation." As the New Living Translations says, "we never give up."
Yes, that's why we cling to him. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
