Psalm 146:6b (NIRV), "He remains faithful forever."
Friday... It can be easy or difficult.
It all depends upon what is happening now. It really does.
Let's say you are in a very difficult situation. Things are just not going the way you want and then the answer comes and you can relax. Now it is easier to believe Psalm 146:6b (MSG), "He remains faithful forever." after, than it is before but it is so important to believe it before and then be thankful after. Yes it is so important to spend time reading God's Word and definitely being thankful for what He does in our lives because it reinforces our faith in those difficult times.
Verses 5-6 says, "Blessed are those who depend on the God of Jacob for help. Blessed are those who put their hope in the LORD their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth and the ocean. He made everything in them. He remains faithful forever."
"Blessed are those who depend on the God of Jacob for help."
"Blessed are those who put their hope in the LORD their God."
Who do we depended on? Who do we put our hope in?
Verses 3 & 4 says, "Don't put your trust in human leaders. Don't trust in people who can't save you. When they die, they return to the ground. On that day their plans come to nothing."
My dad was my hero. He was awesome. But there was a day when I got that call that said he had been in an accident and was killed. That was a very difficult time for me. But God was there as he always has been. My dad was a example to me on who to put my hope in and who to depend on.
The Amplified Bible translates verses 5-6 this way, "How blessed and graciously favored is he whose help is the God of Jacob (Israel), Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, Who keeps truth and is faithful forever."
Now it is so important for me each morning to start my day reinforcing the fact that God is in my life. I do that by starting my day thanking Him for what He did for me and my family the day before and praising Him for who He is and then reading His Word. From there I then ask Him for specific needs in my life and my family.
The thanking Him and reading the Bible reinforces my belief that He is faithful in my life and strengthens my faith and hope and belief that I can depend upon Him.
Now it is easier to believe in the good times and difficult to believe in the bad times. And that is why being thankful and reading God's Word is so important.
We need to always remember, "Blessed are those who depend on the God of Jacob for help. Blessed are those who put their hope in the LORD their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth and the ocean. He made everything in them. He remains faithful forever."
Just an important truth for today. Yes, He remains faithful. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
