Titus 2:11 (NLT), "For the grace of God has been revealed, binging salvation to all people."
Wednesday... Yes, it has been revealed!
In the coffee shop, Aspire, where I usually go to write, it has changed. Last week it was celebrating Halloween now it has changed to Christmas. And that is a big change.
Now Paul in his letter to Titus tells him and us, he reveals another change. And it is a great reveal. And we too need to catch the reveal. In so many ways we haven't yet found this to be true, even in the church, in our families and in our lives but it is true.
Here is what Paul said to Titus and to us and for him and us to tell those around him and us. Titus 2:11 (NLT) says, "For the grace of God has been revealed, binging salvation to all people." The Amplified Bible says, "For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men." The NIRV, "God's grace has now appeared. By his grace, God offers to save all people." Again, "By his grace, God offers to save all people." The Message, verse 11, "God's readiness to give and forgive is now public."
Now Paul doesn't say, this is true just to the church of Crete. Paul in 1:5 (NIRV) says to Titus, "I left you on the island of Crete. I did this because there were some things that hadn't been finished." And I think that is true of us. In verse 4b, Paul says, "May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior give you grace and peace." And we also need that today in our churches, in our homes, and in our lives.
Notice something. Pauls says, "For the grace of God has been revealed, binging salvation to all people." It says to all people. All people. God is not prejudice. He does not distinguish any race, any gender and age, any one. He brings grace and salvation to all people, even your husband or wife, or that person you are not wanting to give grace and forgive.
Now when we have been given grace and forgiveness we then will give grace and forgiveness and giving it shows we have accepted it from God. "For the grace of God has been revealed, binging salvation to all people." To all people, to all people, to all people. And that is a great reveal, isn't it? We too can have grace from God which brings salvation to us personally. Just ask him for it. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
