Psalm 61:2 (AMP), "From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]."
Friday... Yes, I just need some help.
I live in a desert with mountains around us made from rocks. Now if it rains which it doesn't do too often but when it does it can be dangerous because there can be flash floods. Now we have a whole lot of visitors to our town and some may not understand the dangers of our desert and mountains, when it rains.
For example, they could be out hiking by themselves which is very popular and a rainstorm comes up and a river on a dry bed comes rushing toward them and there is a rock of safety but they are alone and can't get to it by themselves. Because they are alone they are overwhelmed. Yes, they just need some help.
Now we can in our life have so many situations where we need help but we are alone and overwhelmed.
David in Psalm 61:2 (AMP) takes that example and says, "From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]."
Maybe that is where you are today. You are overwhelmed and alone. Read this again. "From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]." That is truly a benefit of a relationship with God. You are never alone. He is always with you, behind you, ahead of you and he can help you when you are overwhelmed and weak. He knows what He is doing and He also has a lot of help. He has people who are ready to make a difference when someone calls out to Him. We are never alone.
Verses 1-2 in The Message says, "God, listen to me shout, bend an ear to my prayer. When I'm far from anywhere, down to my last grasp, I call out, 'Guide me up High Rock Mountain!'" And verses 2-3 in the NIRV says, "From a place far away I call out to you. I call out as my heart gets weaker. Lead me to the safety of a rock that is high above me. You have always kept me safe from my enemies. You are like a strong tower to me."
There you go. That may be exactly what you needed today. He knows. He really does, so just reach out to Him. Yes, yes! #todaysbeeginning
