Psalm 128:1 (MSG), "All you who fear God, how blessed you are!"
Friday... So many blessings!
The Message Paraphrase says Psalm 128:1 this way, "All you who fear God, how blessed you are!"
Verses 1-2 in the Amplified Bible says, "Blessed [happy and sheltered by God's favor] is everyone who fears the Lord [and worships Him with obedience], who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments."
Look at Psalm 1:1-2. It says, "Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers)."
Back to Psalm 128:1-2 (NLT). It says, "How joyful are those who fear the Lord - all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be!"
And then to Proverbs 8:1, "Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice!"
Verse 12, "I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment."
Verses 17-21, "I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me. I have riches and honor, as well as enduring wealth and justice. My gifts are better than gold, even the purest gold, my wages better than sterling silver! I walk in righteousness, in paths of justice. Those who love me inherit wealth. I will fill their treasures."
And then back to Psalm 128:1-2 (MSG) which says, "All you who fear God, how blessed you are! How happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you've got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Soak in the blessing."
So many blessings for those who fear God and seek His wisdom! Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
