Psalm 142:3 (AMP), "When my spirit was overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness], You knew my path. In the way where I walk they have hidden a trap for me."
Friday... It really does make so much sense, it really does!
I love getting up early every morning and going out on my couch with my Bible and reading it and also praying. I love connecting with God each morning and then, of course throughout my day.Are you overwhelmed over something in your life? Look at Psalm 142:3 (AMP). It really makes sense. "When my spirit was overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness], You knew my path. In the way where I walk they have hidden a trap for me." Again, does that make sense?
And then verses 5-7 says. David writes from experience. "I cried out to You, O Lord; I said, 'You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. Give attention to my cry, for I am brought very low; rescue me from my persecutors, for they are stronger that I. Bring my soul out of prison (adversity), so that I may give thanks and praise Your name; the righteous will surround me [in triumph], for You will look after me."
Here is another thought that really makes sense in this day in which we are living. Proverbs 22:24-25 says, "Do not associate with a man given to angry outbursts; or go [along] with a hot-tempered man, or you will learn his [undisciplined] ways and get yourself trapped [in a situation from which it is hard to escape]."
Now if we have connected with God through His Spirit, He will go with us in our reading and pick out verses that will make a difference in our day, that are looking at where we are and what we will be facing and what we need.
God's Spirit laid these verses out for me because He knew who would be reading this and needed this right now.
What a tremendous privilege it is to have God's Spirit living in us and through us and connecting with us. Now if we have given our lives over to God and asked Him to come into our heart then we have this life changing, life strengthening opportunity. If you want this, then just say to Him, "Lord, I give you my life." and then tell someone what you did. "I give you my life." If you do that then all of this will make sense. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
