Psalm 136:1 (AMP), "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His lovingkindness (graciousness, mercy, compassion) endures forever."
Friday... There is a thought today that everyone should be rewarded the same.
Psalm 136:1 is a great reminder of two things. Every verse starts with the fact that we need to "Give thanks to God" and ends with the fact that "His loving kindness endures forever." Everyone of the 26 verses reiterates that we are to "Give thanks to God" and for us to know and believe that we will be given a chance to be rewarded because of God's loving kindness and that is the truth.
Now I also read in Proverbs 16:2, "All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], but the Lord weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth]." He lets us know that truth because of His loving kindness.
And then I also read Revelation 9:20-21 (NLT), "But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons, idols made of gold, silver, stone, and wood - idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk! And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their sexual immorality or their thefts."
Now God because of His loving kindness, His graciousness, mercy, compassion sent His Son to die on a cross to give each one of us the opportunity to repent of our sins and turn to God. Out of his love for everyone Jesus paid the price. But we must turn back to God and live as He has commanded but if we don't there will definitely be consequences because of His love for those who have repented and followed Him. His love means He must follow through.
Yes, we must see that the thought that everyone should be rewarded the same is wrong. Again, "All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], but the Lord weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth]."
Now the end is not here yet for those who are alive. We still have a choice.
Back to Proverbs 16. Verse 3 says, "Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him, and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]."
Verse 6 says, "By mercy and loving kindness and truth [not superficial ritual] wickedness is cleansed from the heart, and by the fear of the Lord one avoids evil."
Yes, we each one because of God's loving kindness have been given the truth that everyone will not be rewarded the same and that we have a choice. Again His love means we have been given a choice. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
