Saturday... 14 days to go. Can you believe it? A lot will be happening but there are 14 days left in this year before we head into a new year.
David wrote Psalm 18 on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and Saul and he was reflecting. There is a part of that whenever we come to the end of anything, even an old year.
And here is what He said in verse 1 (NLT), "I love you Lord; you are my strength." I can say that too, "I love you Lord; you are my strength." And no matter what refecting I do as I look back on this year of 2021 and even 2020, "I love you Lord; you are my strength." And I do and He is.
As he was reflecting on God's working in his life he goes on in verses 2-3, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies."
That says it all, doesn't it? as we head into 2022. We have survived another year. He has been with us and He will be with us.
Proverbs 18:10 says, "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe." Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
