Tuesday... We each one view this differently.

Now in my maturity of old aged, I have found that we each one view this matter of time differently and I don't really know where it comes from. But I do know this, time is one of the best places for us to show grace. I am one of those who believes that being on time is late and that being early is on time. And now you see where I need to be a grace giver because not everyone has that same slant toward time. But at my age, time is very important and valuable.

Again I say that time is a great place for us to show grace with other people.

Exodus 2:25 (NLT) says, ""He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act." Now we each one can have problems with time in our relationship with God and trust goes a long way in this area. Are you in a situation where you are waiting on God?

The writer of Psalm 82:1-2 said, "God presides over heaven's court; he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings: 'How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked.'" Verse 8 says, "Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you." We really do think we know best, don't we? Again, this matter of time is a great place for trust and grace.

It is so important for us to realize that God has a plan. He knows what he is doing. And he knows when it is time to act.

Now the minor prophet Zechariah had this to say in 7:10, "Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other." These do nots have some time attached to them. So when he doesn't do anything then we believe there is still time. But verse 11 says, "Your ancestors refused to listen to the message. They stubbornly turned way and put their fingers in their ears." And this is really dangerous.

Verse 13 says, "'Since they refused to listen when I called to them. I would not listen to them when they called to me,' says the Lord of Heaven's Armies."

It is so important to listen and obey and be patient. When we are waiting on God for something we want that is one thing but when he is waiting on us that is another. Yes, we each one can view time differently but it is so important for us to be sure to trust and obey. God knows what he is doing.

Yes, God looks down on us and he knows when it is time to act. Again, God knows what he is doing, trust him! Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning

Tuesday... It is so worth it. It really is! Look at this, Proverbs 5:21-23 (CEV) says, "The Lord sees everything, and he watches us closely. Sinners are trapped and caught by their own evil deeds. They get lost and die because of their foolishness and lack of self-control." That is true of so many. Psalm 8:3-4 (NLT), "When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers - the moon and the stars you set in place - what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?" Friday... Yes, we need them. We really do. No, not the fact that I can go out my front door and look out at night at the marvels of the sky. I can do that and it is amazing and it takes my breath away each time I see it. Yes, that is a fact but the reality of who did that and the wisdom and the faith that I have to believe that and to marvel that the one who did that cares about me makes such a difference in how I live my life. Yes, God really does. That is so wonderful for us to believe. And that is why faith and wisdom are so important. Now whatever belief you have at how that marvel happened must also be believed through faith. Monday... Three ifs and two thens. They go together!

Monday... Three ifs and two thens. They go together! They really do. And this is what caught my attention this morning as I was reading Proverbs 2. Verse 1 (NRSVUE) says, "My child, if you accept my words and treasure my commands within you." Verse 3 (NIV), "Indeed i f you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, Verse 4, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, Verse 5, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God." And verses 9-11, " Then you will understand what is right and just and fair - every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you." There will always be some effort we must do, some ifs for the thens to be realized in our lives.
