Wednesday... There are times that we must say, "no" but.
There is so much in this world that we must say no to. There really is but living in the no all the time can be so discouraging. I love living each day in the yes, yes!
The Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT), "For all of God's promises have been fulfilled with a resounding 'Yes!' And through Christ, our 'Amen' (which means 'Yes') ascends to God for his glory."
I love Proverbs 31:25. It is a part of a description of a virtuous, capable and excellent woman. She is unbelievable and this verse says about her, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." The Amplified Bible says, "Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared]."
So many live with a negative, fearful view of life. They wake up crying. Now there are so many who wake up every morning in tears. Yes they can be facing so much but they are doing it with deep anxiety when they could be face it with hope and relying on God's promises and "all of God's promises have been fulfilled with a resounding 'Yes!'" And in that comes strength and dignity and our position is strong and secure; And we can smile at the future knowing that we are prepared.
The last two verses in this book of Proverbs says, "But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]."
Over in Paul's letter to the Philippians in 4:8-9 (NLT) he writes, "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me - everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you."
Now in verses 6-7 he writes, "Don't worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
And that is how we can smile at the future knowing that we are prepared. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
