Wednesday... It is such a small word but it makes such a difference.
It is the word, if. It usually is connected with the word, then. If we do this then this will happen. Yes, it is a small word that makes such a difference.
The writer of the book of Hebrews in the New Testament of the Bible in chapter 3 verse 14 has a very important if. He says, "For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed , we will share in all that belongs to Christ." If, if, if.
The Message says, "If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we're in this with Christ for the long haul."
In verses 12-13 he writes, "So watch your step, friends. Make sure there's no evil unbelief lying around that will trip you up and throw you off course, diverting you from the living God. For as long as God's still calling it Today, keep each other on your toes so sin doesn't slow down your reflexes." Isn't that great?
We really do need each other to keep us on our toes, to keep us headed in the right direction so we will not miss out on what God has for us. Again, verse 14, "If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we're in this with Christ for the long haul."
If, if, if.
Verse 14 in the Amplified Bible says, "For we [believers] have become partakers of Christ [sharing in all that the Messiah has for us], if only we hold firm our newborn confidence [which originally led us to Him] until the end."
It will be worth it if, if if. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
