Wednesday... Would it be a good and profitable thing for us all to be alike?
Our culture it seems thinks that it would be a good thing. I mean no more men and women, no more boys or girls. no more red or yellow black or white, no more rich or poor. We must all be alike.
Now the Apostle Paul over in 1 Corinthians 12:18-21 (NLT) says, "But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, 'I don't need you.' The head can't say to the feet, 'I don't need you.'"
Look how the Psalmist puts it in Psalm 139:13-16. He says, "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous - how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."
Don't let anyone put your down for your sex, for your race, for your abilities, your looks, your personality, and your uniqueness. You have been created by God and you are wonderfully complex. This world needs you. Now sin has messed up God's plan but God still believes in you even when no one else does. Satan is a lier. And God is truth and he loves you. So who is it you are going to believe?
Now we really do need to do this on a regular basis. Psalm 139:23-24 says, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."
The Amplified Bible says verse 14 this way. And this is also something we need to do each and every day, "I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it well."
Yes, it is a good thing that we are all different. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
