Monday... It doesn't escape his notice.
David had blown it, really blown it and he wrote Psalm 51 after he had been found out. And as he says in verse 16 (MSG), "Going through the motions doesn't please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you." But he doesn't stop there. Verse 17 says, "I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice."
The sin didn't escape God's notice but neither did the heart-shatter life that was ready for His love. That didn't escape His notice and it is there that we really learn to worship God.
He said in verses 7-8 (NLT), "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. O give me back my joy again; you have broken me - now let me rejoice."
Over in Psalm 50 there are three verses that remind of the importance of being thankful.
Verses 14-15 says, "Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory."
And then verse 23 says, But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, it will reveal to you the salvations of God."
Out thankfulness doesn't escape His notice and it truly honors Him. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
