Friday... He wants the very best for us. Yes He does!
Paul writes in Philippians 4:1 (MSG), "My dear, dear friends! I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don't waver. Stay on track, steady in God." And I know that's what God wants for us today.
Paul then gets specific. He says in verse 2, "I urge Eudoia and Syntyche to iron out their differences and make up. God doesn't want his children holding grudges." And that can be said of us in our bickering over so many issues that we are facing today. The NLT says, "Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement." That's what a Christ follower does.
In verse 4, Paul says, "Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again - rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon." And then verse 9 (MSG), "Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies."
And back to verse 1 (CEV), "Please keep being faithful to the Lord." NLT, "Stay true to the Lord." AMP, "Stay firm in the Lord." And The MESSAGE says, " Don't waver. Stay on track, steady in God." And one of the ways we do that is, "God doesn't want his children holding grudges."
Again, He wants the very best for us. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
