Wednesday... Ok, ok it's morning.
So how does that work for you? Is it hard for you to get up?
I won't start this by saying that I love getting up in the morning. Well I did, I did say it so I hope you don't stop reading. But because I am counting each day that I have ahead of me then I don't want to waste too much time in bed. I do strive to be healthy and get my eight hours but then I'm up and at it.
Now David says in Psalm 5:1 (NLT), "O Lord, hear me as I pray. pay attention to my groaning." And what we are going through can cause us to not want to get up and face a new day. All of that groaning can get to us, can't it? But connecting with God and asking him to pay attention to what we are going through makes such a difference in our day. Yes he wants us to bring our groanings to him and the morning is a great time to do that.David goes on. Verse 2 says, "Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you." He is the one to cry out to, yes he is because he wants to and can make a difference.
And then verse 3. I love verse 3, "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." Again, "Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly." Now that is the way to start a new day.
The NIRV says, "Lord, in the morning you hear my voice. In the morning I pray to you. I wait for you in hope."
The Message says in verses 1-3, "Lord, God! Please, pay attention! Can you make sense of these ramblings, my groans and cries? King- God, I need your help. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend." But it can be so easy to just stay in bed and groan but listen, God can make sense of all your ramblings and groans and cries. He can help. Yes he can. So bring your request to him and then wait expectantly. Now that is the way to start a new morning. Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
