Wednesday... It is there every day.
God created the world to show us different aspects of who He is, what He is like and what He wants.
Look at this, David writes in Psalm 19:4b-6 (NLT), "God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. It burns forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat."
It does its task each day, right on time, with great eagerness and it follows its course everyday. God is like that and He wants us to be like that. Look at this. It burns forth, it is radiant, it rejoices, it is eager, it rises, it follows and nothing can hide from its heat. It has a daily job to do and it does it and it always makes a difference. And the sun is not His greatest creation. We are. He made the sun for us and as an example for us.
Verses 1-4a says, "The heaven proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone through out the earth, and their words to all the world."
But something gets in the way for us as humans to be what pleases Him. He then says in verses 12-13 (MSG), "Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work; Then I can start this day sun-washed, scrubbed clean of the grime of sin." And that needs to be our pray each day along with verse 14.
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
