Tuesday... Being transplanted makse such a difference,
I live in a desert. Right now I am looking out a window at trees that have been transplanted and they make such a different. They are not natural to the desert.
We moved into our new house this past year and the backyard was not beautiful but we changed all of that. I was sitting out earlier this morning looking at the green plants and the trees we had planted and how beautiful it was. The transplants have make such a difference.
The writer of Psalm 92 in verses 10-11 (NLT) says, "But you have made me strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil. My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents."
He goes on. Verses 12-14 says, "But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord's own house." Now that is a great transplant, isn't it? "They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit, they will remain vital and green." And I can say, yes, to that.
Have you asked and allowed God to transplant you?
Verses 6 & 7 (NIRV) says, "Here is something that people without sense don't know. Here is what foolish people don't understand. Those who are evil spring up like grass. Those who do wrong succeed. But they will be destroyed forever."
It really didn't make sense for me to live with a backyard that looked the way it did when we moved in. It really didn't. It just took some transplanting and then it was totally different. And that is so true with our lives.
We brought in a landscaper and he made all the difference. And it doesn't make sense to not reach out to the best landscaper of all time. Verses 4 & 5 says, "Lord, you make me glad by your deeds. I sing for joy about what you have done. Lord, how great are the things you do! How wise your thoughts are."
So why not ask Him to transplant you and make all the difference in your life? "But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord's own house." Yes, yes! #todaysbeginning
